Most countries have now recognized the significance of women to become empowered and thus creating a more gender-equitable society. women empowerment is multidimensional in nature that encompasses reproductive rights too.
A case in point is ‘The Republic, of The Gambia’, a densely populated African country where women reportedly, in rural areas have limited access to emergency obstetric and gynecologists.
