Sadly, it becomes, even more, tougher for women living with disabilities due to societal prejudices, holding stereotypical gender perspectives, and in certain parts of World, from a safety point of view too. Women with disabilities face significantly more difficulties – in both public and private spheres – in attaining access to adequate housing, health, education, vocational training, and employment, and are more likely to be treated like a liability by family members. on International Day for persons with a disability, meet Seema Chopra, living with paraplegia for three decades, 70% disabled, in India. Nevertheless, her determination to live life, positive attitude, and work towards society kept her alive!
